II can't say enough about how much fun we have at CMU trumpet camp!  It is an intensive trumpet geek week and I know that, in addition to having a great time, we all learn a LOT about music and the trumpet.  We cover a lot of the techniques that band directors know about but just don't have the time to address in bands, like lip slurs, breathing, playing the mouthpiece, range and endurance, single and multiple tonguing, transposition,  etc.  Trumpet camp happens the same time as other music camps that are part of CMU's Summer Music Institute.  So, while there is a whole lotta trumpet going on, you will meet and hang out with other students who play bassoon, oboe, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, and maybe some others.   Watch for information on the CMU School of Music website in early 2019 for details and contact me if you have any questions.  Below are some pictures from last year.
